sometimes we can get a little caught up in the notion that there’s something wrong with us, when in reality there’s something about our circumstance that has changed — we might think we’re broken or we need to be fixed or saved, but really we just need to acknowledge the strength
I think that is an interesting notion that you find writing to be immutable in your life. For me it seems the opposite, that its prevalence in my life fluctuates with whether I'm doing well or not. But regardless, I'm glad its a moor for you—we all need those things to hang onto when life get tough.
What an uplifting message to start the month off! Lovely reminder, one that will touch and inspire any thinking feeling human being. Stand down ego so my soul can be nourished. Thanks Franco❣️Happy April!
Sooo much truth! I've been struggling with this stuff for like, a year now. I had a similar breakthrough recently. Eventually you just have to find a way to get around it (or, as my old painting professor used to say, "Find a ladder and get over it!") Thanks for writing this 🙏🏼
Brilliant poem, Franco!! It strikes right to the core. Talk about wise encouragement, this hits the jackpot. Like another friend said on this days, we all pass through tough shit, we learn from mistakes. Feeling down doesn’t mean we’re staying there, resilience is always making us stronger. Time spent is about living and thrive to say: “I can make this suffering into art, into writing, knowing that someday, someone will go through the same hardship one day. Being able to say: “This is what it feels like but at least the idea of knowing and reading about it will help steer the way into the days we call life!!” Thanks a bunch, have wonderful rest of the week as well!
what's "wrong" with us might actually be the best thing about us-- in another world, with other people, it all depends on how you look at yourself I suppose
Confidence is the gas in the writer's car
So truth! Nice writing Franco🙏🏻
What a great poem to get us through.
Survive long enough to see tomorrow, it may bring us the answer that seems so impossible today.
What we do on our bad days matters more than what we do on our good days.
Your poem is a push through the grind and maintains the momentum into the next sunrise.

One of my favourite poems of yours so far and I've not been reading your work for too long either. Brilliant! That line about god testing, resonates.
Thank you Franco. Powerful piece!
Wow! First time I’ve tried audio on Substack. It’s so very nice - like a private conversation. Your poem blends with the Quote for Day 93…
“ If we all did the things we are capable of, we would astound ourselves” - Thomas Edison
Thank you Franco xx
