When most things get mired in bullshit, know more bullshit is coming , and then a little more on top of that, and then like ten calamities, and then the change comes.
Interesting how you reference tuning them out in the commentary, but in the poem you are telling the audience to tune you are. I like how the perspective shifts with hindsight. :) on Theme, Franco, nice work.
Silence can be deafening when in this state of mind and at the same time a motivator. I also find myself contemplating the blank slate question when in this moment and whether what I do matters, eventually coming to the brief conclusion that it does and move on.
Thank you, Franco. Much to ponder in your lines. We forget how infinitesimal our lives are. How long is a pause in the immensity of eternity? Maybe patience is essential.
I have been lacking in the routine of listening to you, Franco. It's ironic you kinda told the reader to tune you out in this one. I appreciate the comfort you have given me since beginning my journey with writing my bullshit online. P.S. I heard your cat meow during the beginning of your afterword, and it made me smile.
Thank you brother. I'm very glad that you've taken comfort in my words. That means a lot. And yes! That's Alex making a little cameo. I try to record when he's sleeping but it doesn't always work out lol.
I've been hanging out in these neighborhoods lately. I've been swallowed up by projects, lost track of who I am in process, and have felt a change occur in my thinking. Change is coming. Thanks for a great piece, Franco.
Those opening lines about chatter I certainly understand. I’m debating with myself whether we need more earplugs or muzzles. I’d probably settle for space and freedom to disturb the peace. 🤣

a more accurate take
Murphy's law.😣
Yes!

sharp eye, that's a critic's angle if I've ever seen one. Thanks for the insight, Victoria. I'll have to reflect on that one now.
-I’ve forgotten what silence feels like
I’ve given up on the notion of a blank slate…
so what else is there to do at this point? -

Those are the things we should be thinking about. Thanks for your insights, Michelle:)
Missed seeing a post from you last week! Vibrant return to form. That first line, whewww.
Thank you :) glad you like it.
With spring popping up all over I am anxiously waiting for myself to do the same
It will! Season transitions can be tough, and don't always happen all at once.
It's the "be patient" part that's hard, Franco, especially when change takes years to happen.
Agreed. Can be excruciating. Thank you for the comments Neena :)
I like that line as well, but here's the real gem for me: "I’m constantly afraid of losing
touch with the things that make me
me " That's something.
thanks, Ria!
Good stuff. It gets so hard for me to tune people out sometime. And this writing really spoke to me.
thank you, Blake

thank you, Manuel. So true, patience is essential!
"the only real path to new creation is destruction. That’s always how it is."
I totally agree with this... there must be death before there is resurrection.
Thank you, Franco.
Great poem!
so true! well said, Órla
“I welcome the force, the flow, the movement,
when most things get mired in bullshit,
I know the shifts are coming… “
I might have to play this one at Ghost Town.
It would be an honor. Thanks Joe!!
Awesome, Franco
Sorry but I won't be tuning you out any time soon :-)
Aw thanks Caroline
Always beautiful 🤩🫶🏻
Thank you, my friend. Much appreciated 🫶

Embrace it, Rod. Listen to that true voice inside you. Thanks for this comment and for reading tonight.
Thanks, Franco. I’ll do that. It’s always my pleasure.
:)

Space and freedom to disturb the peace sounds right. Space to create and be dangerous.
