There's a lot to ponder here. I too question how "right" the direction is of our society. But thankfully it's constantly evolving. Brilliant musings. Good luck with that story. I'm looking forward to reading it *when* it's published.
Reading you makes me want to have a cup of tea and a long discussion with you. I love the way you see humanity. It's a wonderful poem and captivating garbage note. Thank you for sharing a piece of your mind.
I’d love to read that story when it’s done. I think the two species got along about the same as we do today with each other. Nice one day not so much the next. 😊
I agree. I think fundamentally we probably haven't changed all that much. And thank you, hopefully it'll be finished soon and then I'll start sending it out.
What a beautiful poem and, Franco, what an utterly beautiful concept for a novel. That’s a book I will read, no matter how you make it available.
I understand how you will feel hamstrung by wanting to get it ‘right’. I hope you find your way through! If you ever want anyone to read it pre-publishing, put me on your list! I’d be so happy to help out.
I’m pretty sure there is evidence of DNA overlap between Neanderthal and Homo sapiens and that this can be picked up in testing. What a beautiful thing - to think of the uniting between these two people and that some of us might be part flower people.
Thank you, Zivah ❤️ I will certainly keep that in mind. And yes, it's been determined that some of their DNA exists in us. What that means, what aspects of them overlap with us, is something that we can always speculate upon. Cheers.
“The other ways of being human”. This poem and your description got me into that feelings wonderings place…what a great place to take pause between the reality that this overlapping time with humans and Neanderthals happened and that we are still in a place to fathom guesses as to what actually occurred then and there. Easy to think there was violence, there certainly is still violence now and it is increasing not decreasing even with our big brains and systems and time passing …isn’t it so lovely to think about the peaceful giving actions and gestures of love that perhaps Neanderthals felt and behaved by…and pay those thoughts the most mind. So much more interesting. I’m enjoying your writing, and thank you for reading and interacting with mine too. 💜
Of course, any time. Thank you, Jess for taking the time to read and send me thins thoughtful comment. I'm happy to hear it got you thinking and reflecting on our humanity. Cheers:)
Cheers to you Franco :) Writing is such a powerful pathway to encourage reflection and thoughtfulness and daydreaming and wonderings. It’s a window into how peoples minds and thoughts lead…the raddness is in reading about stuff people are passionate about.
Freedom in a simpler time. It certainly has plenty of appeal. I would be a terrible hunter. I would hope to live in a land with a lot of berries.
I'd be a terrible hunter too? Gathering, now that I think I can do! Lol
Yes! It’s the only way I’d survive. Haha
So true! Lol
I'm right there with you guys. Hunting would definitely not work for me.
:)
These lines right here, so beautiful:
"and we were all content
with the blowing wind
and the water at our feet,
with the touch of the people
all around us, with the voices
of our ancestors, whispering…
with the images of our gods,"
thank you, Scarlett! that means a lot
So pleasant to read my friend & I got a real kick when you said ‘Fuck!’ 😁
haha thank you! sometimes you need a good 'fuck' on a sunday afternoon lol

yes, hopefully it's a 'when' and not 'if' haha thank you!

Hi Nelly, thank you, that means a great deal to me. I am intrigued by your writing as well and look forward to exploring more of it. :)
That’s an enthralling topic!
Thank you, Nevena. I’m glad you found it interesting!
Love the vast metaphorical symbolism of this!
Thanks, Joe!
I love this and especially the narrative afterwards..
Thank you, Ann Marie ❤️
Wow! Very thoughtful. I would love to read the story when it's finished.
Thank you! When it sees the light of day I'll let people know. :)
So cool and thought provoking. 💕
Thank you, Grace ❤️

I wasnt expecting that! Fascinating
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you, Anne.
Lovely, Franco.
Thank you MaryAnn ❤️
Fascinating! It would never have occurred to me to study this period of human origin but it’s so interesting. 🤩
Thank you, Elaine. So many interesting aspects to it when you really dig into our pre-history. :)
Oh I bet! I love how we all as humans have our niche. The things that light us up and drive us as far as research interests. 🫶🏻🥰
Absolutely 🫶
