This echos the most profound concept I learned as I overcame major depression in my twenties: my feelings do not define me and I can choose how to feel. I love that you suggested focusing on the rain and the sky. What a wonderful metaphor.
The bad weather inside of us is an apt line. I think in today's climate (no pun intended) of attaching so much personal identity to our mental diagnoses, it's easy to forget that we are more than our moods. Humans are psychosocially complex and making broad causal statements about who we based on how we might feel from one moment to the next can be quite dangerous. Deep and introspectively rich piece Franco.
Those last four lines are good for my soul. Thank you Franco.
I'm happy you appreciated it Wendy. Thank you, always. <3
So raw and beautiful and sensitive. This poem is the perfect example of why I love your work. :)
thanks Ria

To me, thunder and lightening are like the bad energies being swept away by the noise and flashing lights.
The peace that comes after is like the start of a new day, or a new version of you, it's the calm after the storm.
