Wise words mate. We get so hung up on the winning and losing, that we forget to enjoy the ride! Thoroughly enjoyed this--MUST read.

I love this. It's something I'm currently doing, maintaining the trail system I built last summer on the family place. Many would see this as hard work (it is), but it also makes me feel like a kid again, playing in the woods all day without another care in the world.

we have to keep chasing that kid in us. and do the things that light us up. keep at it, Wendy, and thanks for the comment today :)

Might be my favorite line right there: "whoever is around is a blessing,

even if some days your fucking

tank feels practically empty…"

thanks Ria :)

It's so easy to choose the basement. Mostly because it takes effort to climb. Damn good writing Franco. And how about that play the other night, what a miracle indeed. We are all enjoying the ride with you. New York all the way.

thank you SG :D

Sometimes all you can do is work to survive or are unable to do the things you once did for reasons beyond your control

You hit the sweet spot, Franco. Most of us are so consumed with the future, with achievement, with what others think, we miss the joy of living. This line really struck a nerve: "I don’t want to scrutinize

every single event, questioning

whether it’s a curse

or a fortune..." Yes, practice non-judgement. We never know how things will turn out. Enjoy what is. Another extremely relevant poem, Franco. Thank you.

Tomorrow I get to have fun on a 10hr tour. No guilt on breaking my note posting streak. And if nobody wrote it, you have a nice voice.

“And the likelihood of you even existing in this moment is kind of mind-boggling.” Amazing and the bit about not adding so much pressure. I often think how past ancestors are reduced to a line in family lore. Like this is great aunt so and so and she did…and a small story follows. How complex our needs and dreams and worries are yet in future we will be reduced to a line. 🤔 can sound sad or out stuff in perspective. 🤪🙏🏻

You and me both:

“I’d like to loosen

my face out of these

stress-stricken contortions,

let out a sigh of relief

and an expression of joy,

and smile “

Love this. Down to earth message about consciously choosing joy through all the ups and downs, through all the noise and expectations. Thank you for your work Franco.
